1099 is a new business magazine for independent professionals that evolved out of an award-winning webzine (you know, the one you're looking at). We're seeking an Inside Sales Representative to sell print and banner advertising. Responsibilities include cold calling, prospecting, and generating new leads. Qualified candidates will have one year of inside sales experience.

1099 is a subsidary of Aquent, the world's largest talent agency for creative and Web talent. Founded in a college dorm room in 1986, Aquent (formerly MacTemps) has grown to $200 million in sales with 60 offices across 12 countries. The company continues to innovate at a rapid pace, is privately-held, and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts (where the position will be located).

Compensation is competitive and includes base, bonus, benefits, and options.
